I built a series of these little boxes for Valentine's Day, 2010. My goal was to create something that would warm the recipient's heart.

The best kind of love is true love and these boxes were true to themselves. The natural color of the Cherry wood reminds one of love. They were hand rubbed with a low gloss oil finish for durabilty and a soft glow. The bottoms were made from Walnut, a very elegant and aromatic lumber.

I've still got a small stash of this lumber hidden away, perhaps to one day kindle a new love for you.
